Frequently Asked Questions

Listed below is some common questions asked about orders.  Feel free to reach out for more information!

Storage?

The cakes we create are best served at room temperature.  If picking up a day in advance, it will need to be refrigerated overnight.  When refrigerating, remove the cake at least 1-2 hour till the event.  This should allow the cake to warm, prior to being cut. Make sure to display the cake in a cool place away from direct heat/sunlight.

All cakes are best eaten within a week of delivery.  For brides and grooms, you can freeze the top tier of your wedding cake.  Wrapping the cake extremely well in plastic wrap or any airtight storage container is KEY!

Delivery?

Anywhere beyond a 10 minute radius will incur a delivery fee ($20 and up).  I deliver within the Mooresville area, this includes Charlotte and surrounding regions.  Pick up is also available, and I am more than happy to meet for delivery.  I highly suggest my delivery services for cakes over 3 tiers, just to insure it is delivered safely.

For orders that are picked up, we are not responsible for any damage done once the cake leaves our hands.

Tastings?

We are currently offering tasting boxes for sale periodically.  Follow us on facebook or instagram to see when the next offering will be!

Structure?

We try to make our cakes completely edible.  For stacked cakes we use internal supports, such as wooden dowels.  These supports are food safe.  Also we sometimes will use wires as accents or supports for purse handles and such.  The wires we use are sterilized and are also food safe, they have never been used for any other purpose.

For larger decorations a combination of rice cereal treats and icing or melted chocolate is used, which is completely edible and quite delicious!
